This shade is gorgeous on front doors, furniture, cabinetry, accent walls, or bedroom walls. It leans more modern than traditional.

This color would bring soothing seaside vibes to anything from a spa to a beach house. I could see it bringing mid century modern vibes at a cozy hotel or a sweet vintage shop.

A general rule of thumb is that colors that look gorgeous on a paint swatch will be overpowering across a whole room of a home. For that reason, many people might prefer a less saturated shade with more gray, white, or black in it for a large surface-area project. At the same time, this shade isn’t quite bold enough for a hip hotel or restaurant. It sits in an interesting middle ground.

"I really think Aegean Teal looks its best on one wall (as an accent color) because it’s not necessarily the most ideal whole room color because it is such a rich color. It’s also just a little darker than a mid-tone. However, if the color is balanced well with plenty of white/cream in the space with trim, cabinetry and wainscoting (as you can see below), it can really work beautifully.”

23.96. LRV measures the Light Reflectance Value, meaning the percentage of light (0-100) that bounces off a surface. 100 being purest white and 0 being purest black. Like other midtone blues, Aegean Teal has a fairly low LRV, meaning it reflects a fairly small amount of light.
