The Basics
What are people saying about this color?
Coventry Gray is a true gray with blue undertones, in the middle of the light-dark spectrum. It’s a clean, fresh color, and pairing it with white makes it even more so. Coventry Gray is often considered similar to Stonington Gray but darker. In rooms with little light, it can look quite dark.
Slightly darker than Stonington, but also a true gray that doesn’t show up greenish, purplish, or bluish, Coventry Gray is my top pick for a guest bedroom, study, or bathroom with white tile or vanity. It goes beautifully with white marbles like Carrara, whether you are using that as a countertop or a mosaic tile.

In the kitchen or bathroom contrast Coventry Gray with crisp white cabinets, woodwork, or trim. In the living room or bedroom cheer it up with sunny yellow accents or create a relaxing space by adding touches of navy.

What kind of spaces does it work best in?
This is an extremely versatile gray and works well as a whole-home general color as it plays well in many different lighting situations. Even though Coventry Gray is a cooler gray, it does not have any purple undertones to it so it can be in north and south-facing rooms without conflict.

Where could you expect to see it?
Cabinets, cabinets, cabinets. Coventry Gray really shines on kitchen or bath cabinetry placed next to a clear, bright white trim like Chantilly Lace. It would also make a handsome pairing with a deep green like Lush AF-475 for a study or library, and looks transitional and timeless on walls.

Who shouldn't pick this color?
Coventry Gray has some soft blue-green undertones. If you have a north-facing room with minimal natural light, it can read more blue than you might expect and come off a bit colder than you would want.
