You can stop looking for the perfect paint color for your home: Benjamin Moore’s soft, subtle Tissue Pink promises to complement any outfit and skin tone. Architectural Digest’s editor in chief, Amy Astley, encountered the hue while visiting designer Thomas O’Brien’s Aero Studios. Astley proclaimed the rosy, nearly neutral color very flattering—and O’Brien agrees. Pink is known to be the most flattering and soothing color, he says. It seemed to be the perfect choice to make everything look wonderful and restful in our new offices.

Because it has no blue in it, it doesn't read purple at night like some other soft pinks, points out New York designer Lilse McKenna. Camila Pavone agrees: It's not a true pink, she says. It works as a neutral because it leans more peach/fleshy. It's basically an updated version of beige. Stephanie Woodmansee of Henry & Co. Design reaches for the color just as readily in a little girl's room as a family living room (see above). I'm such a fan, she says.

Painted on the walls, it wasn’t a stark pink. It was warm, not too bright, and had just the right amount of color. Pink is so hard because when I looked at the actual paint of Tissue Pink, it almost looked white. But when we started painting, we had our electric guys that kept saying, WHOA, that’s one pink room! Haha. But once we got everything in and the trim done, it looked amazing.

Where could you expect to see it?

This shade is unexpectedly mega-hip and lively, soothing and yet lively. I could see it in a hip hotel lobby or confident office, when paired with the right furnishings and other shades.
