The Basics
What are people saying about this color?
Balboa Mist adds subtle, earthy color to your typical off-white neutral. Plus, it makes a great base tone for complementing with plants, textured fabrics, and wood-and-metal-focused furniture pieces for a bright, organic aesthetic.
It is a warm neutral paint colour. While it may look gray on the fan deck, it definitely has a slight pink undertone to it. It is a beautiful, light, softer colour. With a lot of light you can really see the undertones. The paint colour looks amazing with the existing tile I had to work with, which was beige in colour. It can even compliment darker floors as well. Balboa Mist looks great with crisp white trim.

We settled on Benjamin Moore’s Balboa Mist, which is this classic creamy color that reminds me of a perfect Victorian China. It’s a very light dusty color that takes on gray and blush hues in differing lighting and looks great with white molding and furniture!

What kind of spaces does it work best in?
Balboa Mist is a great general home color if you pair it with crisp, white trim and cabinetry. It brings a nice warmth to north-facing rooms but if the room lacks lots of natural light, it can bring out some purple undertones. South-facing rooms or rooms with earth tones can bring out green undertones.

Where could you expect to see it?
Balboa Mist is a very transitional color. Expect to see it in a timeless grey and white motif in a living room or bedroom, but is also a warm and enveloping greige in nurseries.

Who shouldn't pick this color?
If your room lacks natural light, Balboa Mist can read more purple than a warm greige, and some may not want that.

Any pro tips?
"Balboa Mist is a warm gray paint colour, bordering on greige. If you have north-facing light, Balboa Mist can lean that bit grayer. However, with south-facing or warm afternoon western light, Balboa Mist can lean more into its the greige warmth hiding in it.” kylieminteriors.ca

Chantilly Lace OC-65, Oxford White OC-30, White Dove OC-17, *via Benjamin Moore
